Covid-19 Policy

Our team at Waverley Park Dental Care understand this is a challenging time for everyone. Our priority during this unprecedented period is to ensure the well-being and safety of our patients as well as the wider community. In wake of COVID-19 we are doing our best adhering to new changes and challenges that allow us to stay open and care for our patients.

Please know we have been cooperating closely with our relevant state and federal dental committees to provide ongoing services that are in line with current restrictions. Recently, restrictions have eased and we are now able to perform ALL DENTAL PROCEDURES on ALL PATIENTS who do not have associated epidemiological or clinical risk factors, using standard precautions.

Our practice routinely takes part in infection control inspections and revaluations through the Australian Dental Association (ADA) and frequent staff meetings. We would like inform our patients on how our team is adapting to the recent guidelines and standards. Firstly, in the initial phase of a pandemic, personal protective equipment (PPE) plays a major part in disease control.

As an essential and medical service provider you may notice some changes in our appearance around the practice (i.e. surgical gowns and full face visors). Other proactive and preventative measures our clinic has implemented involve: pre-screening for possible COVID-19 via phone call; temperature checks for both staff and patients; limited time in our waiting rooms (patients advised to wait in their cars); before and after hand sanitizing and hydrogen peroxide mouth rinses prior to commencing treatment. We also wish to advise you that as per the ADA Guidelines “all confirmed coronavirus cases require treatment within a hospital setting”. Our clinic does not have the appropriate equipment and facilities to be able to provide treatment for any positive COVID-19 cases.

We want to thank our patients for understanding changes to our operations and cooperating with us. We are aware this is an anxious time for everyone and we assure you we are very well trained in our infection control precautions for everyone’s health and safety. We, as a team, will endeavour to assist your dental needs during this stressful time should you need our care.

Please, if you have any questions, call us or do not hesitate to leave a message on our answering machine and we will contact you. We sincerely miss all our wonderful patients. We wish you strength in these challenging times and hope to see you again very soon.

Warm regards,
Waverley Park Dental Care.
